Well, after my pitiful bleating the other day I took to the bottle. Then I stopped feeling feeble and started to do something about it.
I’m hopeful that new reading pastures will be forthcoming in the next few months. I have many inspirational friends and associates, along with blogs to keep me focused. But, most importantly, I have joined (sort of begun) a book club in an online parenting forum I belong to here in NZ.
It’s a very democratic society our new venture. We’ve voted for a theme for the month. I rattled around on the internet, and took the advice of the other ladies over the potential authors and their books. I came up with a list of ten and we voted again. Now only the reading need be done.
So the month of June is Chick Lit month – chosen mostly because there was so little time left in which to read anything heavier, and it is a way of easing in to these sorts of things.
