New Pastures in Reading

Well, after my pitiful bleating the other day I took to the bottle.  Then I stopped feeling feeble and started to do something about it.

I’m hopeful that new reading pastures will be forthcoming in the next few months.  I have many inspirational friends and associates, along with blogs to keep me focused. But, most importantly, I have joined (sort of begun) a book club in an online parenting forum I belong to here in NZ.

It’s a very democratic society our new venture.  We’ve voted for a theme for the month.  I rattled around on the internet, and took the advice of the other ladies over the potential authors and their books.  I came up with a list of ten and we voted again.  Now only the reading need be done.

So the month of June is Chick Lit month – chosen mostly because there was so little time left in which to read anything heavier, and it is a way of easing in to these sorts of things.

The book?
The House of Peine
by Sarah-Kate Lynch.
A review will be along shortly for your amusement.
