On finding a home

With barely two weeks to spare we have signed up another house on a six month lease.
It wasn’t our intention to rent again, but the purchase options were just not falling our way.  In the end it is most probably for the best, as some other aspects of our work have fallen into place this past week.  We have verbally offered a new person a position with us and he has verbally accepted.

We are looking forward to the possibility that we may be heading back home to Auckland sooner rather than later.  When I say sooner, I mean six months to a year from now at the very earliest and it will all be dependent upon how quickly and well the new staff member picks things up.

I have found that I am starting to miss my own home.  When we left Auckland I didn’t think I would be that bothered, and for the most part I haven’t been.  But now that I am having to move again into someone else’s property I am beginning to miss the lovely house we created for ourselves.  I want to have the four bedrooms again.  I want the north facing open plan living, dining and kitchen.  I want the easy care back garden with Miss Oh Waily’s favourite “walk the wall” wall.

Oh well, it is one less stress in life now.  Just the move to organise, Christmas gifts to get, travel plans to make, yada, yada, yada.  Did I say things were getting less stressful?
