I have confessed to over-borrowing library books before, so it should come as no surprise to any of you that my bedside table groans under the weight of a variety of different books.
Here is a list of the current selection (some of which I will not get past the first few chapters of):
- The Wonderful O by James Thurber (this one is read and waiting for me to review)
- Martin Hawes’ Investment Guide: 7 Timeless Rules for Investment Success (almost finished)
- The Secret History by Donna Tartt (just starting on this one)
- The Blind Watchmaker by Richard Dawkins
- The Golden Age by Gore Vidal
- The Torchlight List by Jim Flynn
- Play by Stuart Brown M.D.
- The Queen makes a Scene by Mairi Mackinnon (my daughter’s reading book)
- Fox and Crow are NOT Friends by Melissa Wiley (another of my daughter’s books)
- The Kreutzer Sonata by Leo Tolstoy
- The Sea, The Sea by Iris Murdoch
- Positive Linking by Paul Ormerod
- In Other Worlds: SF and the Human Imagination by Margaret Atwood
- Don Quixote by Cervantes
I do rather wonder what this pile of books says about me. Come on – what does it tell you, all three of my loyal readers?
What’s on your bedside table? And what do you think it says about you? Link up if you blog, otherwise just leave a comment with your bedside books list. 🙂
I don’t think my books compare, but currently only three books on the bedside table
Running Extremes – Lisa Tamati
Slaying the Badger – Richard Moore
A short history of Everything – Bill Bryson
I guess I am looking for inspiration from these sporty types, and also need to know everything ha ha.. I have just finished a set of novels, so this month is non-fiction.

All I have right now is the book you were so nice to send me and “Napoleon’s Privates,” as “V For Vendetta” was polished off over the holiday weekend =)
